### How to Configure and Use Slack Integration with Sharkdom

#### Overview

The Sharkdom Slack App allows you to receive real-time partnership enquiry alerts, proposal notifications, and workflow updates directly within your Slack workspace. This helps your team stay aligned and respond faster to partnership opportunities.

### How to Connect Slack to Your Sharkdom Account

1. Log in to Sharkdom\
   Sign in using your Sharkdom account credentials.
2. Navigate to 'My Apps'\
   From your Sharkdom dashboard, go to the ‘My Apps’ section.
3. Connect Slack\
   Click on the ‘Connect Slack’ button.
4. Choose Your Workspace\
   Select the Slack workspace where you want to receive notifications.
5. Select Your Preferred Channel\
   After authorizing, you will be asked to select the specific channel (public or private) where Sharkdom updates will be posted.
6.
7. Complete Authorization\
   Follow the Slack OAuth authorization prompts to grant the necessary permissions.
###  How This Integration Works

*  Enquiry Notifications\
  When a partner submits a proposal or enquiry through Sharkdom, an automated message will be sent to your selected Slack channel.\
*  Broadcast Messages\
  Important partnership updates like shared opportunities, referral program notifications, or key account overlaps will trigger Slack messages automatically.\
*  Event-based Alerts\
  Notifications are triggered only by specific actions (e.g., when a partner sends a proposal, or when there is an update on a partnership opportunity).
###  Supported Scenarios

| Trigger Action                        | Slack Behavior                                           |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Partner sends a proposal | Sharkdom bot posts an alert in the chosen Slack channel. |
| Referral program enquiry is submitted | Notification message is posted automatically. |
| Workflow status update | Relevant Slack channel receives an update. |

### Why Integrate Slack with Sharkdom?

* Easy Setup: Quickly integrate your existing CRM and Slack for seamless collaboration with partners.
* Real-time Analytics: Access up-to-date analytics on shared opportunities and account overlaps within Slack.
* Automated Notifications: Set up automated Slack alerts to keep your team informed about important partnership updates.
* Custom Reporting: Generate detailed reports on partner performance and opportunity outcomes directly from the platform.

\
Note:\
This Slack app does not send messages as the user. All notifications are posted by the Sharkdom bot (@SharkdomApp) into the channel selected during setup. The bot does not require joining the channel manually because the scope chat:write.public is used for messaging.
